How do you obtain an environmental permit and how does this work in practice?

In the Netherlands the building permit was cancelled as of 1 October 2010 and replaced by the environmental permit.

The request for an environmental permit consists of several parts: building, demolition, environment, incorporation into zoning and building block.

This request is submitted digitally by Huisman. In this we act as the representative of the applicant. In other words, you do not need to sign or deliver any documents to the council yourself. You are, on the other hand, required to inform us of the correct name including all initials and NI number. If it concerns a business request, you must provide us with the correct name of your firm, the registration number of the Chamber of Commerce and the name of the governing administrator.

We ask you to provide us with a clear ground plan including the building block and an extract of the current zoning plan. Both can be obtained from your town hall. Indicate on the ground plan that includes the building block the location of the new building. After submission of the complete request the council is obliged to make a decision within 8 weeks.
